OUR VISION
The New Animal Shelter, a goal of the Rolla Community for nearly a decade, is slowly coming to fruition!
Shelter Planners of America (SPOA) is actively working on the final design package for the 5,600 SF facility – Phase 1 Building Shell. Construction of the Building Shell should be completed in 2022.
The New Animal Shelter will be located on City Property near the intersection of Hwy 72 & Lion’s Club Dr. on the southeast quadrant of the Rolla Community. The initial building shell will be paid for from donations gathered over the last several years totaling over $725,000.
The City will continue to work with the Rolla / Phelps Community to complete the interior finishes of the building so your continued support is vital.
There remain various naming opportunities for rooms / spaces within the new building including the “adopt-a-brick program” for smaller contributions.
Please go here for donation opportunities or contact Rolla City Administrator John Butz for details 573-426-6948. Thank you Rolla!”
